Hello.

I’m Mike Booth, and I live just outside of Boston in Somerville, Massachusetts. I’m a biophysics postdoc at the Steele Laboratory, which is part of Massachusetts General Hospital, which is part of Harvard University.

(The upshot of all this is that, someday, when the bureaucracy finishes following up all these links, I will finally have a Harvard library card.)

I study cancer. This is a new field for me; before this I was an electrical engineer with Agilent Technologies (which used to be called “Hewlett-Packard”, but, alas, may not deserve the name for much longer). Before that I was, briefly, a web developer in Boston. And before that I was a grad student in Ithaca, NY… for years and years. I think I’ve forgotten what I used to do before then.

I’ve got a blog because it gives me a chance to practice my typing.
